A 'Grandmother's Sampler' on linen -- this picture does not do it justice at all.
The stitching is so fine and delicate, Carol does such amazing needlework. When the sampler is completed, all the little charms show above will be attached and the sampler will go into a silver frame. Some of the tiny charms are: eye glasses, an old-fashioned hand bag, a fan, a ball of yarn with knitting needles -- all sorts of charms representing this Grandmother's interests.
I'm hoping she brings the finished sampler and we can all admire the finished Grandmother Sampler !
