Mom's Lilies

I've always loved any plant that comes from a bulb or tuber. As I plant those ugly lumps, I can't begin to imagine that tender green leaves will sprout to be topped by delicate flowers. Just one of those wonderful miracles of gardening.
Years ago, I planted day lilies and fancy lilies in my Mom's front flower bed and they have thrived and multiplied almost filling the bed.
Every year it seems that my trips down there don't coincide with the lilies blooming; and, I've never seen all them in their glory. This year was different.
Behold 'Mom's Lilies'

Beautiful aren't they ??
