A few months ago I was grinching and groaning about all the work that goes into a the construction of a Biscuit Quilt. Cutting out all those squares, sewing them up three sides and then stuffing them to make little 'biscuits' . . . .
The sewing all those 'biscuits' together in long strips . . . .
and then joining those strips together to create an entire quilt-top of puffy biscuits . . . .
Sandwiching the puffy top with the batting and backing which made for very sore hands over the course of the five evenings . . . .
After many weeks, having a finished 'Biscuit Quilt' ready in time for the baby shower and seeing my daughter's delight when she saw it for the first time . . . .
But the real 'pay off' came when the new Mommy laid her newborn daughter on the quilt for the first time . . . .
Seeing that little one stretch out her little legs and just get comfy on her very own Biscuit Quilt made by her MoMo . . . . .
It was so worth it !!!
